Well, I told Autumn87 that I would post some wedding stories in this suite, so I am! I figured I would start with a rather short one....but it is oh so sweet. Smiling

Before I get to the actual story, I must give some background. I was married in 2005 (October to be exact) and most of our friends were married the same year. There were five total weddings and four of them were back to back April through July! It was a crazy time and I little emotionally draining. It was stories like this that made it all worthwhile in the end. So, here goes...

The second wedding was on Friday, May 13! It certainly didn't feel wedding or spring like. It was gloomy, cold, and rainy. We were in high spirits, but I think the weather kept us from being our usual off-the-wall selves. As the guests arrived to the church (which believe it or not was on Elm Street!) it started to rain even harder than before. The sanctuary was pretty dark for an afternoon ceremony and we were all hoping for a sudden end to the rain. As we lined up for the processional, we hadn't received our wish.

It was a Catholic ceremony, so it took a little while to get to the good stuff...the vows. As the bride and groom turned to each other to recite those very precious words, the rain stopped and the sun came out. Sunlight filled the room. A feeling of serenity came over everyone. The beaming sun stayed until the vows were finished, and then the rain started again.

To this day we still talk about how God smiled down on the couple and started their marriage in an awfully bright way.
